CONGRESS CELEBRATES ONE YEAR WITH REPORT CARD
Rayagada, June 21: The Congress party celebrated its one-year anniversary in office with a press conference at the Tejaswini Hotel in Rayagada. Local MLA Kadraka Appalaswamy distributed report cards to all the journalists present, highlighting the party’s achievements and future plans.
In his address, Appalaswamy discussed the district’s basic facilities, education, health, agriculture, sports, and social justice. He mentioned his role as a member of various committees in the Assembly, including the Standing Committee, Scheduled Caste Departmental Committee, and the Home Committee.
The MLA highlighted some of the key initiatives taken by him, including: Granting government recognition to Rayagada Autonomous College. Providing ambulances to 11 primary health centers.Constructing a high-tech seed storage facility at Kashipur to support agriculture.Improving sports infrastructure, including the construction of a football stadium in Rayagada. Providing permanent roads to every corner of the district. Recognizing the Jhodia communities as Scheduled Castes.
During his one year in office, Appalaswamy has raised 253 questions in the Assembly, with 156 receiving responses. He expressed his commitment to continuing his work for the people of Rayagada and the state of Odisha.
The program was attended by senior Congress leaders, including Durgaprasad Panda, Chinnari Krishna, Sunil Kumar Panda, Mangaraj, and the district president, among others.
