Aadi Karmayogi Workshop Held at Bissamcuttack
Two-Day Orientation Programme under DAJGUA
Rayagada /Bissamcuttack, A two day orientation workshop titled “Aadi Karmayogi Programme” was successfully conducted at the Kalyan Mandap of Bissamcuttack Block under the flagship Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA). The workshop and orientation programme ended yesterday which envisions creating a dedicated cadre of Aadi Karmayogis, empowered leaders and local functionaries, committed to strengthening governance and driving change in tribal communities.
The program was inaugurated by Block Development Officer Bissamcuttack, Shri Shiva Patnaik, in the presence of block officers and line department officials. The sessions focused on equipping frontline tribal workers with practical tools and knowledge to ensure responsive, people centric governance and to bridge last mile service delivery gaps.
As part of this initiative, a village level participatory workshop will be held across 28 villages of Bissamcuttack Block. Through community led “transect walks,” local residents and functionaries will jointly map resources, identify challenges, and document opportunities for development. The findings will culminate in the preparation of a Village Vision Plan, which will be formally presented during a Special Gram Sabha on October 2, 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Patnaik emphasized that the Aadi Karmayogi Programme is not just a training exercise but a movement aimed at capacity building, empowering tribal citizens, and making them co-creators of development. The larger vision is to ensure saturation of government schemes in tribal villages and establish a governance framework that is inclusive, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the people.
The workshop has been hailed as a significant step towards strengthening participatory governance and creating a strong foundation for sustainable tribal development in the Bissamcuttack region.
