LAST DAY OF CHAITRA PARVA CELEBRATIONS IN SAIPRIYA NAGAR SEES MASSIVE TURNOUT OF DEVOTEES
Rayagada – The annual Chaitra Parva celebrations at the Maa Majhi Ghoriani temple in Saipriyanagar concluded with great fervor and devotion on its final day. Thousands of devotees gathered at the temple from dawn till dusk to offer prayers and seek blessings. The temple was beautifully decorated, and special arrangements were made to accommodate the large number of devotees.
The festivities saw a massive turnout of devotees, who offered various items like coconuts, bananas, incense sticks, and lamps to the deity. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual fervor as devotees sang hymns and performed traditional dances. The sound of drums and traditional music added to the festive atmosphere.
The temple committee, led by President M Chinna Rao, along with Treasurer Babuji, Ram Rao, Rajendra Babu, Purna Chandra Nalla, G Laxman Rao, T Trinath, Ramakrishna, Durga, Ishwar Rao, and Gouri Patnaik, played a crucial role in organizing the event. The committee members worked tirelessly to ensure that the celebrations were a grand success.
The celebrations showcased the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the region, concluding with a grand procession amidst chanting and singing of hymns. The procession was led by the temple priests, followed by the devotees, who carried the deity’s idol on a beautifully decorated palanquin.
The event was marked by traditional rituals and ceremonies, and the devotees were seen seeking blessings from the deity. The local residents extended their support and cooperation to make the event a grand success.
