Seminar on Track Safety Held at Kottavalasa
Rayagada:- The Engineering Department of Waltair Division organized a seminar on safety precautions while working on railway tracks at Kottavalasa. The session focused on safe working procedures and the use of push trolleys and motor trolleys.
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shri Lalit Bohra attended as the chief guest. The program was arranged by Senior Divisional Engineer (South) Shri B. Naveen Raju, ADEN (Track) Shri S.M.K. Pattnaik, and other officials. Track maintainers, trolley operators, keymen, and supervisory staff participated in the event.
Shri B. Naveen Raju explained in detail the safety rules to be followed during track work and trolley operations. DRM Shri Lalit Bohra advised staff to strictly follow all safety regulations before starting any work. He stressed the importance of inspecting equipment beforehand, using safety gadgets, and taking proper block protection, especially at vulnerable locations.
The DRM also interacted with the track staff, listened to their concerns, and encouraged them to stay alert and give top priority to safety.
Such safety seminars help spread awareness among railway staff about safe working practices during daily operations as well as in emergencies.
