Gopal Panda Promoted as ABDO of Nabarangpur Sadar Block
Rayagada, Sept 25, 2025 — Shri Gopal Panda has been promoted as the Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO) of Nabarangpur Sadar Block. The promotion order was issued by the Panchayati Raj Department vide letter no. 26807 dated September 23, 2025.
Shri Panda began his service career in May 2017, when he secured the top position in Odisha in the recruitment examination for Progress Assistants and GPDOs, and received his appointment letter from the then Hon’ble Chief Minister. He was subsequently posted as Progress Assistant in Rayagada Sadar Block.
Over the years, he has served in various key capacities in Rayagada Block, including GPDO, Social Security Officer, and WEO Officer. He also played significant roles in the conduct of the 2022 Panchayat Elections and the 2024 General Elections, where his dedication and efficiency were widely appreciated.
Known for his cordial behavior, cooperative nature, and people-centric approach, Shri Panda earned the respect of his colleagues as well as the affection of the people of Rayagada.
In his farewell address, he stated that sincerity in duty, sensitivity towards people, and a spirit of cooperation are essential values that help one attain both success and divine blessings.
The farewell ceremony was attended by BDO Sujit Mishra, departmental officer Rajkishore Dash, teacher Nilanchal Mishra, along with all block officials, executives, ADEOs, and GRS staff, who praised Shri Panda’s contributions and expressed deep regret at his departure
