Shree Mahaveer Yuba Parishad honored as Prakruti Mitra.
Cuttack: Shree Mahaveer Yuba Parishad located in Sriram Village,42 Mauja, Cuttack district has been honored with the “Prakruti Mitra-2024” award by the “Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department”, Government of Odisha, for its outstanding contribution in the field of nature conservation and environmental protection. In this regard, DFO P. Arthanari, Principal of Vishwa Nahakani Degree College Dr. Sachidananda Pradhan,ACF Anil Kumar Ray, ACF Santosh Kumar Pati and Amar Behera were the guests at the district level program held at the Forest Officer’s Office, Dalijora Range near Chhatia Byree. They felicitated the President of the Council, Advocate Keshab Chandra Kar, General Secretary Basant Kumar Panda and Environment Secretary Prakruti Bandhu Nabakishore Panda with Certificates, Intruder’s clothes, Bouquets and an incentive Bank check of Rs. 20,000 from the state government. This state level program, which is held every year on June 5 on the occasion of World Environment Day at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar, was postponed due to the 2024 elections. Cordinator and Media Secretary Bhagabati Prasad Pati, Kedar Chandra Kar, Chandan Panda, Manas Kumar Panda, Laxman Dixit and Ritik Nayak expressed their happiness for the success of the council and expressed their keen interest in environmental protection.
