Saipriya Walkers Club Leads Yet Another Green Initiative for a Sustainable Future

Rayagada: Reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection, promotion of greenery and building a clean, healthy and sustainable society, the Saipriya Walkers Club organised another plantation and environmental conservation drive at Saipriya Nagar with great enthusiasm and community spirit.

The programme was organised with environmental protection as its foremost priority. Under the visionary guidance of Club Founder-President Mr. Subash Behera, Advisory Board Members and Advisors Walker Dr. M. Suresh Kumar and Walker B.M. Rao Pattnaik, and under the able leadership of the present Club President Walker Jayakrishna Pradhan and General Secretary Walker Jagannath Nayak, the initiative was successfully carried out with the active participation, dedication and voluntary efforts of the club members.

As advised by the President and General Secretary, Walker L.K. Panda, Walker V.J.R. Pattnaik, Walker Gopinath Nayak, Walker Sanyasi Panigrahi, Walker T. Nageswara Rao, Walker K. Baikuntha Rao, Walker K. Nageswar Tul, Walker V. Sambamurthy, Walker Gouri Naidu and Walker S.N. Khadanga, along with Walker Sanjukta Rani Panda and Walker Sushila Nayak, who regularly extend active support to the club’s various activities, assembled near the Saipriya Club badminton court at the scheduled time.

The members subsequently took up the plantation work that had earlier been initiated at Saipriya Nagar but remained incomplete. With the active participation of the walkers, the pending plantation activity was completed. The saplings planted during the Environment Day programme were also carefully tended by raising and strengthening the soil around their roots. The remaining saplings were planted at appropriate locations to ensure that the plantation drive was completed in a systematic manner.

The environmental conservation campaign continued for nearly one and a half hours. Through this initiative, the Saipriya Walkers Club once again set an inspiring example of community participation and reinforced the message “Plant Trees, Save the Environment.”

The club’s continued commitment to social service and environmental conservation has been widely appreciated by local residents. They lauded the dedication, unity, discipline and spirit of voluntary service demonstrated by the members of the Saipriya Walkers Club and expressed hope that such meaningful initiatives would continue to inspire more people to contribute towards creating a greener and healthier environment.
