Students Take Oath for a Drug-Free Life at Ekalavya Model Residential School
Spiritual and Social Awareness Programme Focuses on Drug Addiction, Inner Peace and Value-Based Education
Gunupur, September 7: An inspiring spiritual and social awareness programme on drug addiction prevention, value-based education and inner peace was organised at the Ekalavya Model Residential School, Gunupur, by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Gunupur Seva Kendra.
The programme aimed at creating awareness among students and staff about the harmful effects of drug addiction and the importance of developing positive thoughts, strong character, discipline and human values in everyday life.
Rajyogi B.K. Birendra from Mount Abu, who attended the programme as the chief guest and speaker, addressed the students and highlighted the serious physical, mental and social consequences of drug addiction. He encouraged the students to stay away from all forms of addiction and adopt a disciplined, healthy and value-based lifestyle.
B.K. Sundarlal Bhai administered an oath to the students and staff, urging them to remain committed to a drug-free life and contribute towards building a healthy and peaceful society. The teachings and spiritual knowledge of the Brahma Kumaris were also shared with the participants, with emphasis on self-discipline, positive thinking and spiritual strength.
Speaking on the occasion, B.K. Rita highlighted the importance of inner peace in achieving a balanced and meaningful life. She explained that true happiness and stability come from within and that meditation, positive thinking and spiritual awareness can help individuals overcome stress, negative thoughts and unhealthy habits.
The guests were introduced to the gathering by the retired Principal, while Principal Ananta Prasad Rath delivered the welcome address and expressed his gratitude to the Brahma Kumaris Seva Kendra for organising such an important awareness programme for the students.
Bandana Madam proposed the vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of the organisers, speakers and school staff in making the programme meaningful and inspiring.
B.K. Jyoti, B.K. Gunaya, B.K. Arambha and B.K. Sebati were present on the occasion. Retired Principal Surendra Kumar Mahanti also attended the programme.
The programme concluded with a strong message that education should not be limited to academic knowledge alone but must also nurture character, values, mental strength and social responsibility. The participants expressed hope that such initiatives would help guide young minds towards a healthy, disciplined and addiction-free future.
