Maharaja Sri Krishna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Dev’s 134th Birth Anniversary Celebrated in Rayagada
Rayagada :- The 134th birth anniversary of Maharaja Sri Krishna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Dev was celebrated with great fervor at the local Sanskriti Bhawan in Rayagada on April 26, 2025. The program was organized by the District Administration.
Additional District Magistrate Naveen Chandra Nayak attended the program as the chief guest, while Sub-Collector Ramesh Kumar Jena was present as the guest of honor. Other dignitaries, including officials, social workers, teachers, students, and local citizens, also attended the event.
The attendees paid floral tributes to Maharaja Gajapati’s statue at Gajapati Chowk and later gathered at Sanskriti Bhawan for a special program. Speakers highlighted Maharaja Gajapati’s contributions to education, health, agriculture, and the cultural development of Odisha.
The speakers praised Maharaja Gajapati’s visionary leadership and his role in shaping the state’s history. They emphasized that his legacy continues to inspire future generations. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Basant Kumar Pradhan.
The event was a joint effort by the District Information and Public Relations Department and the Culture Department. Officials and staff from both departments worked together to make the event a success.
