Rayagada District Forces Successfully Neutralize 4 IEDs Planted by Maoists
Rayagada, May 5: In a significant operation, the Rayagada District Intelligence Operations Cell (DIOC) and District Volunteer Force (DVF) along with the CRPF 4th Battalion successfully detected and neutralized 4 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by Maoist groups in the Ambadola PS Jagadalpur area.
The detected IEDs included one pressure cooker bomb and three tiffin bombs, which were planted using command wire mechanisms. The bomb squads from Rayagada DVF and CRPF 4th Bn expertly diffused and blasted the IEDs in a controlled manner, preventing potential harm to civilians and security personnel.
This successful operation highlights the effectiveness of the district’s security forces in tackling Maoist threats and underscores the importance of continued vigilance in the region. The authorities are likely to review and enhance security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
