Indian Railways Extends Weekly Special Trains for Diwali and Puja Rush
Rayagada/Vskp:- To handle the surge of passengers during the upcoming festive season, Indian Railways has announced the extension of weekly special train services between Udhna and Khurda Road up to January 2026.
Train No. 09059 Udhna – Khurda Road Special Express Will depart from Udhna at 12:20 hrs every Wednesday from 24th September 2025 to 31st December 2025. The train will arrive at Vizianagaram the next day (Thursday) at 16:00 hrs, depart at 16:25 hrs, and reach Khurda Road at 22:30 hrs.
Train No. 09060 Khurda Road – Udhna Special Express In the return direction, the train will leave Khurda Road at 02:00 hrs every Friday from 26th September 2025 to 2nd January 2026. It will reach Vizianagaram at 07:25 hrs, depart at 07:50 hrs, and arrive at Udhna the next day at 13:30 hrs.
The special trains will halt at major stations including Vyara, Nandurbar, Dharangaon, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Tumsar Road, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Mahasamund, Khariar Road, Kantabanji, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, and Balugaon.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager K. Saandeep has appealed to passengers to take advantage of these special train services during the festive rush.
