Launch of the “10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge Campaign”
Cuttack: The “10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge Campaign” was launched at the Brahma Kumaris Om Jyoti Bhavan in Bentakar, 42 Mouza, Cuttack.
The programme was organized by the 42 Mouza Development Council. Council President and advocate Keshab Chandra Kar attended as the Chief Guest, while Brahma Kumari Shubhangi Behen from Madhuban, Rajasthan, was the Chief Speaker. She emphasized the importance of continuing the drug-free pledge campaign in all high schools and colleges and making concerted efforts to keep young people and students away from addiction.
Council Secretary Santosh Pati, Vice-President Goutam Parida, and Advisor Er. Ashok Biswal attended the programme as Guests of Honour.
The programme stressed that keeping young people and students away from intoxicating substances such as alcohol, cannabis, bidis, cigarettes, gutkha, and drugs would contribute significantly to achieving the 10 Crore Drug-Free India Campaign initiated by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya across India.
Council advisors Lecturer Swadhin Sekhar Sadangi, Professor Dr. Kalimullah, Bhajakrishna Lenka, Pramod Mahapatra, Amarendra Behera, Krushna Chandra Dash, Sagar Kanungo, Diptiranjan Satapathy, and Brahma Kumari Sanket were also present.
Senior council member Prasanna Dalei conducted the proceedings, while Brahma Kumari Reena, head of the Bentakar Brahma Kumari Ashram, delivered the vote of thanks.
