Nilabadi Village Ghanta Yatra Concludes in Koraput
KORAPUT: The Nilabadi village Ghanta Yatra, a significant cultural event in the region, has concluded after being celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm. The yatra, which began on the 5th of this month at 10 pm, continued until Tuesday night, featuring various cultural programs and traditional rituals.
The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the village, with performances by local artists, including Bhartiya Leela and Bhutkheli Naat. On the final day, a melodious performance by Jaipurs’ Melody added to the festive atmosphere.
The villagers took great pride in showcasing their cultural traditions, and the event drew a large gathering of people from nearby areas. The yatra committee and local residents worked together to ensure the success of the event, providing refreshments to participants and spectators alike.
The highlight of the event was when Maa Thakurani, the revered deity, visited the homes of some of the village’s respected residents, blessing them and bringing joy to the devotees. Despite the rain, the festivities concluded with traditional offerings to Maa Thakurani, including goats, sheep, chickens, and coconuts. The event was a testament to the strong community spirit and cultural traditions of the Nilabadi village.
