Distribution of Fruit-Bearing Saplings under ‘Green Legacy Mission–2026’
Cuttack: With the objective of protecting the environment and building a greener future, fruit-bearing saplings were distributed among employees at the MEMU Shed under the Asansol Division of Eastern Railway as part of the ‘Green Legacy Mission–2026’.
The green initiative was organized by the Environment and Housekeeping Management Department of Asansol Railway Division. During the programme, Er. Uttam Kumar Pattayat, Assistant Divisional Mechanical Engineer at Asansol MEMU Shed, environmentalist and social worker, distributed saplings among the employees. The primary objective of the campaign is not merely to promote tree plantation, but also to create environmental awareness and a sense of personal responsibility among every employee towards protecting nature.The campaign carries the slogan: “Plant a tree today, secure tomorrow.”
