REVENUE INSPECTOR OF KALOSIHIRA CIRCLE UNDER KUARMUNDA TAHASIL, DIST-SUNDARAGADA NABBED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE WHILE TAKING BRIBE FOR ISSUANCE OF LAND DEMARCATION REPORT
Rourkela : Today on 21.07.2026, a short while ago, Smt Anita Jena, Revenue Inspector (R.I.), Kalosihiria, under Kuarmunda Tahasil, Dist – Sundargarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking a bribe of Rs.4,000/- from an applicant for issuing the demarcation report of his ancestral land. The applicant had applied for the said purpose a few months back. In spite of repeated requests by the applicant, accused Smt. Jena was delaying the issuance of the demarcation report for no reason. Instead, accused RI Smt. Jena demanded bribe Rs 4,000/- from the applicant for the above purpose.This irked the applicant( Complainant), and he reported the matter to vigilance authorities narrating harassment by Smt. Jena, RI. Following this, today, a team of Odisha Vigilance nabbed Smt. Jena, RI, while taking bribe Rs. 4,000/- from the complt.The entire tainted bribe money Rs.4,000/- has been recovered from the possession of accused Smt. Jena and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations linked to Smt. Jena, RI from DA angle.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance P.S. Case No.05 dtd.20-07-2026 U/s.7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against the accused Smt. Jena, RI. Detailed report follows.
